Micah Fernando
Micah Fernando is a junior in the Frederik Meijer Honors College at
Grand Valley State University studying Biochemistry. He is actively
involved in on-campus research studying a class of enzymes that enable
antibiotic resistance in bacterial infections. Outside of academia,
Micah is on the Varsity Track and Field team as well as part of
Athletes Intervarsity. He also volunteers for his local church in
organizing services. Micah enjoys international travel, interesting
food, and most outdoor activities. He believes leadership is an
important skill to grow on his career path and hopes it will better
enable him to serve through high impact medical research.
