Destyni Davis
Destyni received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from GVSU in
2020, where she minored in African/African American studies and Women,
Gender, and Sexuality studies. She was involved in the National
Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), The National Society of
Leadership and Success (NSLS), and served as an ambassador for the
Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and ACTIVATE.
Destyni is a second-year student in the College Student Affairs
Leadership (CSAL) program pursuing a Master’s degree in higher
education. She is the graduate assistant in the Office of
Multicultural Affairs (OMA), and she’s a member of the National
Leadership Honor Society (i.e., Omicron Delta Kappa). She formerly
served as the graduate assistant for Social Justice Education and
Disability Support Resources. She is a second-year fellow candidate, a
first-year lead fellow, and a practicum student for the Cook
Leadership Academy. She is looking forward to developing and
strengthening her leadership excellence and cultivating meaningful
relationships with her fellow candidates.
Destyni is profoundly grateful to her parents Lisa E. and Johnel D.,
for being supportive, understanding, and encouraging throughout her
college experience and personal development. Their love, grace, and
guidance have set a strong foundation for Destyni to grow into the
leader, student, and person she is, and she owes much of her success
to them.
