Jacob Petrosky
Jacob Petrosky is a 4th year student in Classical Languages at Grand
Valley State University, along with being a proud alum of North
Central Michigan College. This is his first year as a fellow.
Jacob has six years of experience working with children,
professionally and as a volunteer, both in and out of the school
system. He presently enjoys teaching Latin and playing Sharks and
Minnows at Camp McSauba.
Having found he enjoys rigorous academic practice and arguing
about words during his time in the Classics department, Jacob applied
and was accepted to Harvard Law’s Junior Deferral Program. The two
year deferral period granted by Harvard will allow Jacob to join the
Peace Corps, garnering more professional experience with children and
learning a modern language. Though he is not exact on what kind of law
he wishes to practice, he is interested in legal work with children,
legal history, and the judiciary.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys lifting weights, brisk walks, meal
prepping, and reading Latin, Greek, and English.
