Julian Sanders

Mr. Julian Sanders is a senior student at Grand Valley State
University pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science
and he is minoring in Criminal Justice. He plans to attend law school
in the fall of 2022 following the completion of his undergrad in
December 2021.
Since Julian transferred to GVSU in the fall of 2019, he has been
involved in various Presidential Initiatives including REP4, 2020
Learner Engagement Challenge, Grand Huddle Series, Teach-in, Emcee and
student speaker for GVSU 35 Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Commemoration Program, and much more. He continuously works diligently
on student action teams including: peer mentoring, and food insecurity.
Mr. Sanders has served on the Faculty Inclusion and Equity
Committee, served as a GVSU Student Senator, worked as an Intern in
the Office of Inclusion and Equity, and is currently a Student
Ambassador to the Office of the President. Julian has recently and
successfully completed a summer 2021 Academic Internship Program on
Capitol Hill through The Washington Center.
Outside of all the work and studies he focuses on, Julian enjoys
playing tennis, golf, swimming, reading books, and trying new
restaurants. Mr. Sanders looks forward to learning and obtaining some
additional leadership skills through the Cook Leadership Academy and
using them for a purpose greater than himself.
