Additional Faculty Funding Support

The tables below show what funding is available for faculty in each college and center at GVSU. The Pew FTLC solicited this information from administrative representatives from all colleges and centers that support GVSU faculty.

Please note that in the 2025-2026 academic year the professional development funds for each regular faculty member will increase from $900 to $1200.

One way we provide "free" open access publishing is by entering into read-and-publish agreements with some of our publishers. This is a model where the libraries subscribe to publisher content and, in return, they waive author publishing charges for our GVSU authors. Current agreements we have in place are with the following publishers: The Company of Biologists, Wiley, Cambridge, Association for Computing and Machinery (ACM), and ACS Publications (American Chemical Society)
