Garrett Moeggenborg
Garrett is a Junior at Grand Valley State University majoring in
Public/Nonprofit Administration with an emphasis in Community
Development & Planning while also minoring in Sociology and
Political Science. He attended Greenville Senior High School where his
admiration for service and organizing was demonstrated. He was
actively involved in the National Honor Society, the Greenville Youth
Advisory Council, and other groups dedicated to serving those in the
community. One of fondest memories Garrett has from his time in high
school was the collaborative work he took part in to create the
Montcalm Youth Wellness Committee- a youth led substance use
prevention group. Through this group, Garrett was able to visit
Washington, D.C. numerous times, meet with U.S. Senators and
Representatives, work alongside State and county officials, and also
enable other youth to be able to take similar trips. After high
school, Garrett took an internship in Detroit with the Council of
Michigan Foundations to program their annual youth conference. Through
this, he was able to express one of his biggest passions- promoting
youth voice.
