Description
This session will provide an introduction to and overview of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) as a resource to enhance intercultural teaching and learning at GVSU. A brief presentation will address the topics below followed by open Q and A:
- The value of Intercultural Competence in teaching and learning
- What the IDI is and how it can be used to develop individual and/or group intercultural competence
- How the IDI can be integrated into curriculum design, assessment, and professional development and research
- How interested units, colleges, and individuals can be more involved
