Mariah Smith (Japan)
Letter:
Hello my name is Mariah Smith and my study abroad experience changed my life. I traveled to Japan for one semester. Without this scholarship I never dream of living in Japan or having so many international friends. My experience changed me personally I now feel more connected to the world. Before this trip i was in my own universe like many other American students not connected to other people outside the U.S. but after this trip I now know their is more to life then the U.S. I want to travel more and see/meet people from all over the world. I want to see all the beauty in the world. I have chosen a career path in Philanthropy and I am now a AmeriCorps Habitat for Humanity Oakland County Volunteer Coordinator. Living in Japan has opened up for love for travel and I now want to move abroad but still doing what I love, working in a nonprofit. I would like to Thank the Murray Family for their gift and my bright future.
With Love and Many Thanks,
Mariah
