My study abroad trip was amazing not only for the fact that I was able to better understand the language of Spanish, but I was able to engage in a different culture. It really opens your eyes to understanding and VALUING the differences of others. The biggest impact on me is how I have been able to interact with my Spanish speaking patients and make them feel a little bit more comfort knowing that they have someone other than a translator who can communicate with them.
