Dear Murray Family,
I would like to thank you for the additional financial support for my study abroad to Spain. The trip was very educational and gave me a new perspective on the culture differences in USA, Central America and Spain. I overcame my fear going to a new world on my own. I have accomplished one of my goals to study abroad. It was such a great experience to navigate on a place I never been to. Also, it was interesting to adapt a new culture and then going to back home to learn adapt your own culture back again.
Ever since I studied abroad, I felt a huge positive change within my self on my confidence, personality and courage. I gained a lot of knowledge and maturity as well during my trip. I have the urge to travel! I hope to go back in Spain to visit my Catalan family and friends, and friends from the International Study Abroad program.
Because of your kind courtesy, I had the chance to meet wonderful people from different ethnicities, experience new things, become independent and challenge my self. It was a bittersweet feeling to leave Spain! I am forever thankful to be one of the recipients of the Murray Scholarship!
