Mr. & Mrs. Murray,
I sincerely appreciate your extraordinary generosity in funding the Murray Study Abroad scholarship, which was largely responsible for making my study abroad in Perugia, Italy financially feasible. The seven months I spent in Italy redefined my outlook on life and opened up possibilities the world over. Since my time in Italy, I have been incredibly fortunate to study in Jordan and Kenya as well. The greatest truth about my college experience is that the times when I felt the most challenged were those during which I learned the most. These were my experiences abroad!
In September 2014, I will begin a two-year stint teaching English in Rwanda as a Peace Corps Volunteer. As I think back to the generosity you and others have shown me, I now look to pay it forward both around the world and here at home. Thank you for your part in teaching me this important lesson.
