Personnel Portfolio Workshop

This 5-day workshop is designed to support faculty members preparing for any personnel review: pre-tenure, tenure, or promotion. Working closely with faculty mentors, participants will compose their Personal/Reflective Statement and as time permits, prepare other supporting materials for the portfolio in accordance with their college and unit personnel policies.

This intensive, weeklong workshop incorporates group and individual meetings, peer feedback, and writing time.  Participants need to be available for face-to-face meetings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (lunch provided) to discuss different components of the personnel portfolio. No meetings are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday to allow space for writing and compiling portfolio materials.  Participants receive support and individualized feedback from their assigned faculty mentor throughout the week and should expect to spend at least 12-15 hours writing their personal personnel statements.

Participants have said...

"Through this workshop, my integrative statement became not only a strong supporting document in my portfolio, but also a powerful reflection on my career as a teacher and scholar."

"Everyone going up for tenure or promotion should attend this workshop. Highly Recommend!"

"The feedback I received helped me immensely."
