Amanda Witsaman (she/her) is a graduate student at Grand Valley State University studying Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. She works as a graduate assistant for the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department and at a local nonprofit, Artists Creating Together. Professionally, Amanda plans to work for a nonprofit organization that provides accessible recreation opportunities to children and families. She hopes to move to New York after graduation to pursue these goals. Some personal pieces of Amanda are that she enjoys trying new things and is passionate about learning. She finds joy in reading, pilates, roller skating, cooking, and watercolor painting.
Amanda is excited to be a part of the Cook Leadership Academy this year. Areas of growth that she is focusing on are developing confidence as a leader, improving her communication, and engaging more with the Grand Rapids community through volunteerism.
