Kian Barnes
Kian Barnes is a junior in the Frederik Meijer Honors College at
Grand Valley State University studying biochemistry. He is a member of
the CLAS Dean's Student Advisory Committee, Pre-Med Club, and a mentor
in the Honors College. He is actively involved in research studying
enzymes used by bacteria to protect against the immune system. In his
free time, he enjoys being outside, soccer, and rock climbing at the
Rec center on campus. As a first-year fellow, Kian hopes to develop
leadership and problem-solving skills that he can use to engage with
his community and future patients as a physician.
