Program Costs

Professional MBA tuition for the 2024-25 academic year is $863.00 per credit hour ($31,068). Additional costs for course fees, books, supplies and campus parking is estimated to be $3500.

Application Requirements

A bachelor’s degree and ideally 3 years of professional working experience are preferred. Final selection is based on prior academic performance, potential for leadership, and professional recommendations. Any undergraduate major is acceptable. The GMAT is not required for admission but can be used to strengthen the application. No transfer credit is accepted for the Professional MBA program. 

  • Completed graduate application for admission   
  • Personal essay/statement, speaking to your career goals or reason for pursuing this degree (link within application)  
  • Current resume
  • Two letters of recommendations (link within application)
  • Official transcripts from all institutions of higher education previously attended 
  • Official GMAT/GRE* scores are not required but can be submitted to strengthen admissions materials; official scores must be submitted to GVSU Admissions
  • Official language scores (if your native language is not English) must be submitted to GVSU Admissions
  • Formal interview may be requested 
  • $30 nonrefundable application fee (waived if you have previously applied to Grand Valley)

*International applicants will be required to submit GMAT/GRE to be considered for admission to the Professional MBA program. The GMAT or GRE may be waived for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria by the time they start the Professional MBA program. Official transcript(s) can be sent electronically to GVSU by your previous university through an electronic delivery service such as Docufide, Naviance, E Scrip-Safe, or send via email to [email protected]. Official transcripts and test scores must be received directly from the issuing institution.
