MS in Business Leadership Admission

The Master of Science in Business Leadership is designed for graduates from non-business undergraduate programs or those gradates with little to no work experience. This degree allows students to gain knowledge, skills, and experiences that will enable them to contribute to a variety of entry-level business roles in a variety of industries. Students may attend either full or part time. Total credit hours: 35

Program Costs

The Master of Science in Business Leadership tuition for the 2025-26 academic year is $904.00 per credit hour. Additional costs for course fees, books, supplies and campus parking is estimated to be $3,500.

Applications for Spring 2026 are now being accepted.

The Master of Science in Business Leadership program has a rolling admission. Applications are accepted until one month prior to the start of the semester.

Application Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required for admission into the Master of Science in Business Leadership program. Final selection is based on prior academic performance, potential for leadership, and professional recommendations. Any undergraduate major is acceptable. The GMAT is not required for admission but can be used to strengthen the application. No transfer credit is accepted.

  • Personal essay/statement, speaking to your career goals or reason for pursuing this degree (link within application)  
  • Current resume
  • Two letters of recommendations (link within application)
  • Official transcripts from all institutions of higher education previously attended 
  • Official GMAT/GRE* scores are not required but can be submitted to strengthen admissions materials; official scores must be submitted to GVSU Admissions
  • Official language scores (if your native language is not English) must be submitted to GVSU Admissions
  • Formal interview may be requested 
  • $30 nonrefundable application fee (waived if you have previously applied to Grand Valley)

 

*International applicants will be required to submit a GMAT/GRE score report to be considered for admission. 

Official transcript(s) can be sent electronically to GVSU by your previous university through an electronic delivery service such as Docufide, Naviance, E Scrip-Safe, or send via email to [email protected]. Official transcripts and test scores must be received directly from the issuing institution.
