LAKERS TOGETHER: Grand Valley is preparing for successful learning experiences when classes resume on Aug. 31. Learn more about the plan for fall in this handbook.
The Lightboard is an innovative tool that allows instructors to write while still facing their students. When the markers write on the board they appear to glow, this allows faculty to create engaging visuals that will help drive home instruction. If you are interested in trying out the Lightboard and would like to schedule a recording, please contact: Justin Melick
Lightboards are available on the Allendale Campus in the Kindschi Hall of Science (KHS), downtown in the College of Health Sciences (CHS) and coming soon to the Seidman College of Business (SCB).
Are you unsure of what you should include in your Lightboard recording or what it might look like on screen? The new Lightboard Planning Guide will assist you in visualizing your content and help keep you "on task" while recording.
Constructing the lightboard was a semester long process that involved following in the footsteps of other universities who have developed the concept as well adding in our own ideas and innovations.
