Welcome to the Writing Center!

2021 Writing Consultant staff in front of Lake Ontario Hall

We're here to assist you with any writing project, at any stage of your writing process. The center's well-trained peer consultants can help you brainstorm ideas, organize content, integrate research, polish a draft, and correctly document sources.

Any graduate or undergraduate GVSU student can make an appointment or drop-in during any of our open hours. Faculty and staff interested in writing consultations for their own work and our other services can email Patrick Johnson, Writing Center Director (johpatri@gvsu.edu).

The Writing Center is following the GVSU recommended safety protocols in place for COVID-19; staff and students must wear a face covering in all service locations. For any questions and concerns regarding the Writing Center’s COVID-19 procedures, please contact Patrick Johnson, Writing Center Director. For more information regarding GVSU’s COVID-19 policies, please visit the Lakers Together site.

Still have questions? Contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
