Submission Materials Please submit all of the following:
  1. Your self-assessment. Instructions: You should first complete on your own the "Self Assessment for Prospective Students". In a few paragraphs, please explain how your self-assessment affirms your decision to apply to the Meijer Honors College. In your description, please also address any factors we should consider with regard to your qualifications (e.g., if you do not meet the ACT and/or GPA expectations).

  2. An essay. Please answer one of the following as thoughtfully as you can in an essay of at least a page or two. The essay should be an original composition that addresses one of the prompts, not a previously written piece or something adapted from another occasion.

    1. The I's. The Honors College curriculum integrates in various ways six key social and intellectual values: Inclusion, Integrity, Inquiry, Interdisciplinarity, Innovation, and Internationalization. Choose one of these words and use a personal experience to explain a time you've displayed or upheld this value.
    2. Change. Part of learning and maturing is occasionally changing one's mind on important matters. Describe an evolution in your own thought from one viewpoint or conviction to another. What prompted the change? How did you or do you feel about it?

  3. A substantial sample of your best writing from a recent course. Preferably, this should include research.

  4. Please upload current unofficial transcript including current courses you are registered.
