Admissions Requirements

You must first be accepted to Grand Valley before you can apply for admission to the Frederik Meijer Honors College. Apply to Grand Valley

High School Students: The normal expectation is a 3.5 high school GPA and SAT score of 1300 (or ACT score of 28), though more important are demonstrations of strong academic motivation and ability to achieve on a high level.  The application will ask you to show these through completing a self-assessment, listing academic and leadership accomplishments, writing a strong essay, and submitting a significant analytical or creative paper from high school.  

Transfer Students: 3.5 college GPA
You must be admitted to Grand Valley prior to applying to the Frederik Meijer Honors College.

If these characteristics describe you, please apply. If you've already been accepted by Grand Valley and want to apply to the Meijer Honors College, complete the online application here.

There is no specific deadline for applications and students are encouraged to apply as early as possible before the semester they want to start. High School Students should apply before May 1 due to Orientation starting in May but applications will be accepted throughout the summer.
