Ways to Finance your Graduate Education
Choosing Grand Valley for graduate school is a smart investment in your future – one made even better by the variety of financial aid options available.
Please note: Grand Valley does not charge a higher tuition rate based on residency. Tuition is based on the program in which you chose to enroll. Visit the financial aid office webpage for tuition and fees.
Your Laker Lifetime Learning (L3) account is available for you to use for future classes at GVSU.
Graduate Assistantships provide students with:
- Part-time work
- Financial assistance
- Experience within their field of study
- An opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting.
Academic Conference Fund
The purpose of the Academic Conference Fund is to provide non-competitive grants to encourage student presentations at academic conferences by offsetting the cost of attendance.
Awards of up to $600.00 (up to $800.00 for international travel) will be given to those invited to present or perform at a conference/meeting.
Presidential Research Grants
Presidential Research Grants are intended as a one-time award during a graduate student’s GVSU academic career.
Grant awards of up to $1,500 are available to support the research projects of graduate students.
