Laker Lifetime Learning (L3) Commitment

Grand Valley State University prepares you for whatever is next. That’s our commitment to you as a Laker for a Lifetime, and is one of the things that sets us apart from other universities. We'll always be alongside you, preparing you for a lifetime of continual learning and growth to tackle whatever future you face.

This commitment begins when you are first admitted as a student, continues through graduation, and lasts throughout your entire alumni experience. No matter what stage of your life or career, you can turn to GVSU for a lifetime of support.

An Empowered Educational Experience

At Grand Valley, we center students in everything we do. Education is an intrinsic value for the learners themselves, as well as the public good for the wider communities of which we are a part. We consider each member of our educational community a learner, each of us at different stages in our educational pathway. We commit to helping students discover their passion and guide and support them along the way.
