ensIIE International Agreements

Overview

This page serves to lay out the agreement between the Grand Valley State University College of Computing and L'Ecole Nationale Superieure D'Informatique pour L'Industrie et L'Entreprise (ensIIE). These exchanges will help both institutions learn from each other and continue to grow their programs.

4 + 1 + 1

This agreement would be 4 undergraduate years at ensIIE, 1 undergraduate year at GVSU, and 1 graduate year at GVSU.

  • Complete the International Student Interest Form
  • Begin the transfer undergraduate application
  • While program requirements must still be met, we take a holistic view of each application.
    • English proficiency requirement is waived
    • Official transcripts
  • If your transcripts are not in English, then you will need to submit an English-translated transcript along with the original transcript. Both documents need to be emailed by your institution to [email protected].

 

International Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

1 + 1

This agreement would be 1 graduate year at ensIIE and 1 graduate year at GVSU.

  • Complete the International Student Interest Form.
  • Begin the graduate application.
  • While program requirements must still be met, we take a holistic view of each application.
    • English proficiency requirement is waived
    • Transcripts
      • You may submit unofficial transcripts during the application process. 
      • However, if admitted and you enroll, you must submit your official final transcripts before the last day of your first semester at GVSU.
    • Two recommendations
    • Resume
    • Personal statement
  • If your transcripts are not in English, then you will need to submit an English-translated transcript along with the original transcript. Both documents need to be emailed by your institution to [email protected].

  • Admitted undergraduate students will work with an advisor to build a plan of study.
  • Admitted graduate students will work with an advisor and/or their graduate program director to build a plan of study.
  • Review the requirements and expectations of a Graduate Assistantship. Decisions are made in April for the coming academic year.

  • TAship with the College of Computing (grad student only)
  • GAship with another office/college on campus (grad student only)
  • On-campus work

*Initial up-front costs include:

  • Required orientation ($150)
  • Health insurance (or enrolling in deferment plan)
  • Flights to Grand Rapids
  • Meals while traveling
  • Depending on arrival timing and situational changes:
    • Airport transportation
    • Temporary accommodation

On-Campus Housing

Grand Valley State University offers on-campus housing on our City campus located in Grand Rapids, MI and the Valley campus located in Allendale, MI. Both offer proximity to classes and facilities (recreation, dining, etc.). Housing costs include all utilities (including internet) and a laundry card.
