The Rapid Bus System
All routes on The Rapid are free for GVSU students, faculty, and staff, including routes to and from the Allendale campus, Pew Grand Rapids campus, and Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences. Our partnership has helped the Interurban Transit Partnership (ITP) achieve its top national ranking for its size among other urban transit systems with more than two million bus rides per year. GVSU Bike Services offers a wide variety of resources for bike enthusiasts on our campus! Bike rentals, assorted parts sales, free tool use, maintenance space, staff who are familiar with basic bike maintenance, special events and programming.
The Bike Shop is located in the Ravine Center on the north side of campus. This location currently serves as our bicycle rental and maintenance headquarters. The Bike Shop holds regular hours for self-service bike maintenance and assorted bike parts sales. During our open hours, the GVSU community is welcome to utilize our tools & stands for your bike's maintenance needs.

GreenRide is a carpool program available to everyone in the greater Grand Rapids area and surrounding counties, including Allegan, Kent, and Ottawa. It pairs drivers with riders from similar locales with similar commute schedules. Sharing the ride with just one other person can reduce your commuting costs by 50 percent.
