Experience:
Dr. Huang has more than 22 years of experience in the social work education, specializing in gerontology, international social work, and immigrant services. Prior to joining the School of Social Work, Grand Valley State University, Dr. Huang was associate professor at the Department of Social Work, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China. She worked with Chinese migrant schools in Shanghai and refugee minors in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Huang has authored books and journal articles, based on research participants in China, Ghana, and the United States. Dr. Huang is committed to social justice and human rights in her teaching and services.
