For students starting 2016-2017 or later, the Seidman College of Business permits access to upper-level (300-400) business courses after meeting the following Seidman Success Standards:
1. Have earned at least 55 semester hours (junior status)
2. Established a 2.500 or higher overall GPA
3.Completed the following courses with a 2.500 or higher combined GPA: ACC 212, BUS 201, ECO 210, ECO 211, MGT 268, STA 215
Students under a catalog year prior to 2016-17 will follow the secondary admission criteria of a 2.750 overall GPA and 55 earned credit hours
ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE SEIDMAN SUCCESS STANDARDS YOU MUST MAINTAIN A 2.500 OVERALL GPA TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE UPPER DIVISION (300-400) LEVEL COURSES. IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR GRADUATION WITH A BUSINESS MAJOR, YOUR SEIDMAN GPA MUST BE A 2.500 OR GREATER.
Those who have applied to Grand Valley and who meet the criteria will automatically be sent information regarding the steps necessary to accept the program. If you have updated test scores or ACT/ SAT scores that meet the criteria, please notify the admissions office at (616) 331-2025.
