Tuition refunds are based on the difference between the amount paid and the amount due for credits remaining after courses are dropped. The block tuition rate may result in a smaller or no refund being available for dropping a course.

Undergraduates who are in other than good standing must obtain the signature of their advisor. All students are encouraged to discuss program choices with their advisor and review their myPath prior to registration.

Winter 2020 Final Exam Schedule

Winter examination periods are scheduled on the basis of the first lecture of the week for the course. Courses not fitting this schedule will have examinations arranged by the instructor in consultation with the Dean's Office. Examinations for Winter 2020 will be taken remotely. Take-home exams are due at the time scheduled for a final examination for the course in question.

For exam schedule conflicts such as three or more exams on the same day, students should contact their professors for possible alternate exam times. Questions about the examination policy should be directed to Dr. Suzeanne Benet (benets@gvsu.edu), Provost Office. Note: If your examination time does not appear above, it will be announced in class by your instructor after the beginning of the semester.

Evening Classes: Final examinations for evening classes (those beginning 5:30 p.m. or later) will be held on the first regular meeting time during the final examination period. Note that classes which begin at 5:30 p.m. will begin their exams at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday Classes: Final examinations will be held during the regular meeting time.

Online Classes: Final examinations for online classes will be given during exam week, at a time arranged by the instructor. The instructor will work with student to ensure that the online exam time does not directly overlap with students’ other scheduled examinations.

Common Exams: Some courses with multiple sections hold common exams outside of the schedule noted above. The instructor will announce the examination time in class.
