This four-day immersive STEM camp will provide students with lasting experiences in foraging and sustainable agriculture. Through hands-on activities with an experienced forager & environmental educator students gain skills in plant identification, foraging, and wildcrafting. The Sustainable Agriculture Project is a student lead farm here at GVSU, where campers will meet with our farmers to learn the issues that farmers are facing such as pest control, soil nutrition, & pollination, and how technology can support solutions to these problems. Throughout camp, campers will have the opportunity to meet multiple industry professionals and examine what it means to follow a career in food science, agriculture, environmental science, and more! This camp takes place at GVSUs Allendale Campus, getting a taste of campus life right in their community.
