Come back for more information about the 2027 Summer Camp!

The 2026 Advanced Manufacturing Camp was hosted from July 13 to 16, 2026, by the Regional Math and Science Center in collaboration with the Seymour and Esther Padnos College of Engineering and the Women in Manufacturing Association.  The four-day hands-on immersive Advanced Manufacturing Camp was for students entering 6 and 7th grade in the fall of 2026. Campers participated in large group activities that included team-building and design thinking processes - followed by breakout sessions facilitated by GVSU staff, students, and industry professionals from the West Michigan area. Sessions included hands-on activities such as Computer-Aided-Design (CAD), 3-D Printing, Automation, Design Thinking, and Lean Manufacturing.

Attention all West Michigan Manufacturing Champions!

Invest in the Future Talent Pipeline

You have a unique opportunity to invest in the future of manufacturing while building your brand and network.  GVSU's Advanced Manufacturing Camp (AMC) is a hands-on, non-residential summer program designed for middle school students at a pivotal stage as they begin exploring future academic interests and career pathways. During the camp, students participate in hands-on learning experiences in Advanced Manufacturing, CAD, Computer Science, and CNC programming, helping them better understand how STEM skills translate into real-world careers and informing their future high school course selections.
