2022 Exploring Careers in Education & Leadership Camp (Battle Creek students)

June 13 - 17, 2022

Exploring Careers in Education and Leadership (ExCEL) Camp is designed to help rising seniors from Battle Creek Central High School think about careers in education and gain opportunities to be a student leader. Scholars in the five day program will design a high-impact, community-based project utilizing project-based learning, develop leadership skills, explore Grand Valley State University, and learn more about the college admissions process in preparation for their senior year.

Interfaith Service Day Camp: Multi-faith and Cross-Cultural Understanding

June 13 - 17, 2022

Our Interfaith Service Day Camps provide an introduction to the world of interfaith leadership through visiting sacred sites and building community through service. Students will build friendships while working with a variety of service organizations doing incredible work in our community. It is an excellent opportunity to engage with peers and neighbors of a variety of cultures, traditions, and world views.

Science Technology & Engineering Preview Summer Camp (Battle Creek Session)

June 20 - 23, 2022

Grand Valley State University's "Science Technology & Engineering Preview Summer Camp" (STEPS Camp) is a four-day, day camp introduction to the world of science, technology, and engineering. STEPS Camp will occur at GVSU's Innovation Design Center in the Pew Campus located in downtown Grand Rapids. Campers will work with GVSU Engineering students in manufacturing radio controlled airplanes. Throughout the camp, campers will learn theory of flight, utilize manufacturing tools and equipment, and ultimately learn a lot more about their personal capabilities and potential.

Interfaith Service Day Camp: Justice and Equity Immersion

June 20 - 24, 2022

This Interfaith Service Day Camp will explore cooperation across lines of difference as we learn each others stories and work to build an equitable community for everyone. This week is perfect for students who have prior knowledge of interfaith dialogue, cross-cultural communication, and are ready for a justice and equity immersion experience.

Energizing Our World Summer Camp 2022 Application

June 27 - 30, 2022

Energizing Our World is a one week summer camp exploration for middle school students designed to spark interest in renewable energy. Students will perform hands-on experiences with a variety of renewable energy sources. Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities involving solar, wind, and hydro power created and facilitated by GVSU Faculty, Staff and Students. We are currently planning an in-person camp, which will include the GVSU COVID safety protocols.

2022 sHaPe Health Professions Camp (Grand Rapids Area Students)

July 11 - 15, 2022

THIS REGISTRATION FORM IS FOR GRAND RAPIDS AREA STUDENTS ONLY. sHaPe (Summer Health Activities and Professions Exploration) is a one-week day camp introduction to the health professions for boys and girls currently in 7th and 8th grades. Students participate in activities that provide hands-on exposure to a variety of health professions including physical therapy, medical lab science, sports medicine, and more! -Participants must be between the ages of 12 - 15, currently in the 7th or 8th grade, and entering 8th or 9th grade in the fall. -Preference will be given to students living in the Grand Rapids Public Schools district. -Students may only attend sHaPe Camp one year (to allow the opportunity for other participants)
