1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Before graduation I spent a junior year at the University of Hamburg, honing my skills in the German language. Teaching took me first to New York State and after one year to Southern California.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
In the Fall of 1966, I remember asking the athletic director, still housed in a farmhouse, if we could have a women’s crew. He said, sure. Just bring me some interested students! It was fun being a pioneer in a brand new state college (first we were GVSC!) and being a part of it. My favorite spot was Seidman House, tucked in a ravine, with just three other classroom buildings named after the Great Lakes. I met a fellow GVSU grad in Ushuaia, Argentina, at the southern tip of the continent, quite by accident. He was from the class before me, which was the SECOND class to graduate. We were on a cruise to Antarctica and met on an excursion! I have our picture but can’t upload it.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Get your education while you’re young! Keep an open mind and never stop learning!

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
New, Adventure, Future Shaping.

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
Leave the world a better place, find solutions, and be a part of them.
