These industry-specific fairs are an opportunity for you to talk with employers about their work and hiring needs. This type of event is appropriate for those who are exploring career paths, as well as those actively searching for a job or internship.

Employer Spotlights

The Employer Spotlight program will bring an invited employer to campus to be featured in a series of 5 minute classroom presentations (based on interested areas of study and recruitment needs) throughout the day. They will also be tabling in a visible campus location between classroom presentations for networking with students and faculty.

Google Kick Start - Global Online Coding Competition

Ready to take your coding skills to the next level?

Kick Start is back for its 6th year with a new name, website, and platform that allows for new challenges, like interactive problems  and more! This online global coding competition offers programmers of all skill levels the chance to develop and hone their programming skills (the top competitors from our Kick Start rounds may be invited to interview at Google!).

Register for the first official round on March 24, then check out the full schedule and add all the rounds through November 2019 to your calendar so you dont miss out!

Etiquette Dinner

When: Tuesday, March 26th 2019, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
Location: The Alumni House & Visitor Center, Perry Dining Room, 1 Campus Drive, Allendale, Michigan 49401, United States

This free, three-course etiquette dinner is the perfect opportunity to finally learn which fork is for salad and which glass is yours. From a liberal education perspective, you will have the opportunity to explore Continental vs. American style dining, understand historical origins of dining etiquette, and learn and practice your interpersonal and networking skills which will be essential as you start looking for internships or other jobs professionally.

Ticket required and can be purchased at the 2020 Desk in the Kirkhof Center Lobby, Allendale or 101B DeVos, Pew Campus (downtown GR). The price of the ticket will be refunded back to you at the event.
