These industry-specific fairs are an opportunity for you to talk with employers about their work and hiring needs. This type of event is appropriate for those who are exploring career paths, as well as those actively searching for a job or internship.

Employer Spotlights

The Employer Spotlight program will bring an invited employer to campus to be featured in a series of 5 minute classroom presentations (based on interested areas of study and recruitment needs) throughout the day. They will also be tabling in a visible campus location between classroom presentations for networking with students and faculty.

TRACKS Program Event: Track 2: Level 1

The Seidman ERP Speaker Seriesbrings corporate executives and recent graduates to the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University to talk with business and non-business students about enterprise systems and business processes in the world after college. The series is held twice a semester and is hosted by The Seidman ERP Program, The Enterprise Systems Student Union (ESSU) and The Career Center. Refreshments are provided, and students are encouraged to stick around after the presentation to meet with speakers and work on building their professional network.

There will be a EXCLUSIVE event following the Speaker Series from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM in The Forum. This is an exclusive event requested for ESSU members in GOOD STANDING. To be a member in good standing, you must have paid your dues for the semester. We will be collecting dues before this event.

Fees/Dues 4.2.1 Membership fees will be based on if the member is an undergrad, graduate, or alumni 4.2.2 Undergraduate fee will be based upon membership status (see 4.1.3) and how long they have been a member. First semester membership fees will be $60 per fiscal year, second semester fees will be $40, third semester will be $20 and any additional semester after the fourth will be free. If a member is not in Good Standing, their dues will not be lowered for the upcoming semester. 4.2.3 Graduate fee is $20 per fiscal year

Dress is Business Professional

Resumes are STRONGLY recommended.

Employer Spotlight - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles

When: Tuesday, October 2nd 2018 8:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT
Location: Mackinac Hall, POD, Allendale and Seidman Center Lobby, Pew Campus

The Employer Spotlight Program brings a featured employer to campus for a day, offering students an opportunity to connect with the organization and learn more about their culture, career paths and internship/career opportunities they offer.

Freshmen learn about future career paths and corresponding majors.
Sophomores are exposed to the importance and process of networking.
Juniors explore internship opportunities.
Seniors and Graduates discuss potential career paths.

Meet with representatives from FCA on October 2. Representatives will visit various classrooms throughout the day and will have a table available near the POD in Mackinac Hall to answer any questions.

How to Talk to Employers
