Marketing promotes and sells products or services by identifying customer needs, creating value, and building strong relationships between consumers and organizations.
Marketers are responsible for promoting products, services, or brands to target audiences to drive sales and increase brand awareness. Marketing experts research, advertise, and strategize to attract and retain clients.
You will explore distribution and logistics, sales and sales management, sports marketing, and multinational marketing. The curriculum covers advertising and promotion, digital marketing, marketing research and analytics, and branding, preparing you for success in various marketing and management roles.
The program features courses taught by faculty who consult on real business issues, bringing their expertise and strong academic credentials to the classroom. You will gain valuable business experience and earn money through internships related to your field of study, scheduled around your classes. Networking opportunities with successful business leaders offer advice, internships, and job possibilities. Classes are held in the vibrant business environment of downtown Grand Rapids, MI, where current and emerging technologies are integrated into the curriculum for unique experiential learning.
Seidman's Early Access Program
Each year, the Seidman College of Business allows early access into the business college to a select few individuals as first-year students. This honor is reserved for students who have received a 3.500 or higher high school GPA.
Seidman Success Standards
For students not part of Seidman’s Early Access program, the Seidman
College of Business permits access to upper-level (300-400) business
courses after meeting the following Seidman Success Standards:
1.
Have earned at least 55 semester hours (junior status)
2.
Established a 2.500 or higher overall GPA; and
3. Completed the
following courses with a 2.500 or higher combined GPA: ACC 212, BUS
201, ECO 210, ECO 211, MGT 268, STA 215

Admissions and Recruitment Office
