This year, AWRI celebrates 25 years of our campus opening in Muskegon and 40 years since our founding with GVSU, so we’re inviting the lakeshore and west Michigan community to join us in celebrating with an open house! Open to all ages, this event will include educational booths with interactive activities, boat cruises on Muskegon Lake, and more. 

The open house will take place at our lakeshore campus at 740 W. Shoreline Dr. in Muskegon on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. General parking will be available at Heritage Landing next door and we will have limited accessible parking available at the institute.
