2026 Key Dates
10/13/26 - Workday Student campus kickoff (1:00-2:30, Grand River Room & Zoom)
10/26/26 - Workday Student functionality goes live in current Workday system – no action needed
11/9/26 - Training begins for: Academic Administrative Support, Advisors, Deans & ADs, Student Support, Unit Heads. (Faculty training to occur in Jan & Aug 2027.)

12/1/26 - Current students are invited to login to Workday to complete onboarding tasks. These tasks must be complete prior to registering for Fall 2027 courses in March 2027.
Timeline for Activity Launches
There will be four primary activity launches, following the schedule of the general GVSU academic calendar.
Support will be provided throughout each activity launch and beyond and will include options to call and email.

Getting Started with Workday Student
December 2026
- Foundational elements: student profiles, academic calendar, etc.
- Student onboarding
- Student financial aid action items
- Academic planning begins
Student Registration Begins
March 2027
- Academic planning continues
- Students register for classes
- Summer 2027 semester classes: register in Banner January-May 2027
- Fall 2027 / Winter 2028 semester: register in Workday March-May 2027
Student Billing
July 2027
- Student bills for Fall 2027
First Full Semester in Workday
Fall 2027
- Student late add class process
- Grade entry including new "Never Attended" option
