Workday Governance Group
Purpose
The Workday Governance Group meets weekly to review optimization efforts, collaborate on bi-annual releases, and discuss important maintenance items.
The Workday Governance Group exists to:
- Provide oversight and direction for Workday (Finance/HR/Student) configurations, enhancements, and best practices
- Review and prioritise proposed changes to the system to ensure alignment with organisational goals and policies
- Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, IT support, and the Workday project team to ensure that change = value
- Facilitate consistent use of Workday and minimise duplication, risk, and unintended configuration drift
- Review Workday releases and evaluate/uptake new functionality to ensure the system remains current and strategically aligned

Submitting a Change Request
If someone needs a system update, new business process, access/security change, or other configuration adjustment, they should submit a ticket through the Support page.
How to submit:
- Go to the Submit a Support Request section on the Support page
- Select the appropriate topic (General Workday/IT, Finance, or HR)
- For Workday configuration or technical changes, use Submit a Ticket under General Workday & IT
Include:
- A short description of the issue
- Screenshot(s) if relevant
- The change being requested
- Why the change is needed (business reason)
What Happens Next
- Tickets route through IT/Workday Support
- Items that involve system changes are reviewed by the Workday Governance Group for alignment, impact, and prioritization
- Approved changes move into configuration, testing, and deployment
- Requestors receive updates as the ticket progresses
