What's Not Changing with Workday Student
While Workday Student will introduce many changes to systems and processes across GVSU, not everything is changing. Some existing systems and workflows will continue to be used as they are today, either long-term or during the transition period.

The table below outlines the systems and processes that will remain in place and how they will continue to function.

Academic overrides (substitutions and waivers) |
Requests for academic overrides (substitutions and waivers) will continue to be emailed to [email protected]. |

Blackboard |
Learning Management System (LMS). Blackboard will continue to be used by faculty and students. Workday will be the system of record for grades (rather than Banner) beginning with Fall 2027 courses. |

Late adds |
Late adds will continue to be student initiated with a fillable pdf. |

CourseDog |
Course scheduling system. Coursedog will continue to be used to create the annual course schedule and for department operations, including instructor assignments. |

EAB Navigate |
Advising system. EAB Navigate will continue to be used as the primary system for advising appointments, advising notes, faculty alerts, and progress reports. EAB Navigate will continue to be used to issue student alerts. |

Financial Aid Portal |
Financial aid system. Students will continue the following in the financial aid portal: complete financial aid action items, submit required financial aid documentation, view award letters, e-sign. |

LIFT |
Teaching evaluation system. LIFT will continue to be used by students for teaching evaluations. |

myScholarships |
Scholarship application system. Students will continue to apply for all GVSU scholarships through myScholarships. |

OnBase |
Document repository and workflow system. OnBase will continue to be our primary document repository system and will continue to be used for some workflows. |

Sail |
Curriculum request system. Sail will continue to be used for university curriculum and course change proposals. |

Slate |
Admissions system. Prospective students will continue to apply to GVSU through Slate and new undergraduate students will continue to register for orientation via Slate. |
