Beneath Everest: Nepal Reborn is a documentary filmed between 2005 and 2008 in Nepal during the Maoist's insurgency directed by Tulsi Bhandari, MSW/MPA.Tulsi Bhandari is a Grand Valley State Alumni who graduated with a Masters of Social Work and a Masters of Public Administration. Tulsi, a native of Nepal, spent 12 years working in his country in diverse settings such as community development and as a human rights advocate. The film is an outstanding and courageous piece of work that explores questions of the use of violence in order to achieve social justice. A must see film for social workers.
