Hello-
The room locations for field orientation sessions are listed below. If you are a regular status MSW student entering field education in 2018, and you have not replied with the date you plan to attend, please reply to me this week. If you have already replied with the date you plan to attend the orientation, you are all set do not need to reply. If you have any questions about the time frames by which you should be attending an orientation and applying for field education, click here or you can contact either your academic advisor or myself.

RE: MANDATORY MSW FIELD ORIENTATION
As part of your MSW program, you will be required to participate in Field Education. Field Education will be an opportunity for you to apply social work knowledge, values, and skills learned through course work in a real world setting.
Regular Status MSW students complete 990 hours of Field Education over 3 consecutive semesters. On average, you can expect to spend approximately 21 to 26 hours each week at a Field Education Site. Field Education for Regular Status MSW students will begin the Spring/Summer 2018 semester (winter 2018 for placements within a school setting).
All MSW students must apply for Field Education. Field Education Applications for Regular Status MSW students wishing to be placed in a school setting are due to the Field Education Office on Monday, October 2, 2017. Field Education Applications for all other practice areas are due to the Field Education Office on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Prior to applying for Field Education, you must attend a MANDATORY Field Education Orientation that will present information on the process of applying and interviewing for Field Education. Listed below are the dates and times for four Field Education Orientations. Please send an email to Professor Deborah L. Ronk, [email protected] to RSVP for one of these orientations.
