Professor Borst has 20 years of experience in social work. She has worked with people living with chronic mental illness, therapy with women and couples, the homeless, people living with HIV and AIDS and in Oncology. Professor Borst is on the Board of the Michigan Health Council and currently serves as the GVSU Coordinator of MSW Admissions. She is the author of the text, “Social Work and Health Care: Policy, Practice and Professionalism”, 2010. Professor Borst taught in Pécs Hungary at the University of Pécs for her Fulbright Scholar Award.
