Experience:
Scott began teaching at GVSU in 2003. His research interests are assessing student learning and aging issues among gay men over age fifty, writing protocols, coordinating overall project activities, and statistical analysis. He has written journal articles in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, LGBTQI+ topics, as well as other general issues affecting social workers and their clients. His community involvement includes fifteen years of working with the LGBTQI+ community in Detroit and Chicago. Scott helped secure grant funding for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, including mental health services, and food voucher programs, as well as, the first comprehensive program for HIV-positive adolescents.
