This celebration of Hispanic Heritage honors the diverse traditions, stories, and creativity that continue to shape our communities. Come ready to savor, listen, and connect.
This event will take place in the Honors College 150 (HON 150) in the Chamberlain Multipurpose Room.

Vane Fortaleza (she/her)
As a Latina creative, Vane (vah-ney) Fortaleza has harnessed her lived experiences and cultural background to shape a body of work that emphasizes identity, culture, and social justice. Her creative journey is deeply rooted in advocating for historically marginalized communities, channeling her passion for dismantling systems of oppression into artistic expression. Vane is a multifaceted artist, engaging in writing, photography, and storytelling to explore themes of identity and self-expression. She has performed her work across the country, using the power of poetry to spark conversation around societal issues.
