Guest and Visitors
GVSU is a permit-only campus.
Visitors may obtain a permit from one of our Parking Services offices, from their GVSU contact person, or by using Pay-2-Park locations across campus.

Visitors staying overnight on campus must obtain an overnight parking permit.
The University reserves the right to restrict overnight parking when necessary.

Overnight Guest Permit Request
Overnight Visitor Permits are required 24/7 on the Allendale / Valley Campus and the Grand Rapids / City Campus.
The visitor of the resident must visit one of parking offices to be issued a visitor permit.
The permit may not be requested by the GVSU student or resident.
Trailers/Buses and ADA
Trailers
Trailer parking on both the Allendale and Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus must be approved by the authority of parking services.
Buses
Allendale/Valley Campus:
Buses are permitted to park in Lot J.
Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids/City Campus:
Bus parking is not allowed on the Grand Rapids Campuses. Buses are encouraged to park next to the Ford Museum (303 Pearl St SW) on the street.
ADA
During the time of parking on campus a valid GVSU permit must always accompany the ADA placard or plate designation. If ADA compliant parking spaces are not available, the ADA permit holder may, with a valid GVSU permit and a valid ADA placard or plate displayed, park in a Faculty/Staff or student space.
