Electric Vehicle Parking
Spaces are provided throughout campus for actively-charging electric vehicles only. Spaces are limited, and a parking or charging opportunity is not guaranteed. A valid GVSU permit is required.

Electric Charging Stations will now require payment to charge. Please check the screen on ChargePoint charging station to see current fee to charge your vehicle.
Permit Required
A valid GVSU permit is required when parking in an electric vehicle space. Charging without a valid permit could result in a violation.
Visitors with a proper GVSU visitor pass are eligible to park in an electric vehicle space.
Patrons that are parking on the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus in the Seward Flat Lot or Seward Ramp will either need a valid GVSU permit or pull a ticket and pay on exit, validations will not be given for the use of charging an electric vehicle.
Students with a valid GVSU permit are eligible to park in an electric vehicle space even if the charging station is in a non student permitted lot.
Chargepoint
We recommend downloading the Chargepoint app if you utilize the charging stations. Chargepoint will show you availability, and notify you when your car will be done charging.
Disclaimer
Parking overnight in an electric vehicle space is not permitted and must only be approved by the authority of parking services.
You must move your vehicle once it has been fully charged. Failure to do so with result in a violation.
Electric vehicle charging stations located in the Front Lot on the Pew Campus are for Consumers Energy staff and visitors only.
