Department of Public Safety
The Department of Public Safety is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors. The Department of Public Safety patrols campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide a safe environment for the Grand Valley community.

Gayle R. Davis Center for Women and Gender Equity
The Gayle R. Davis Center for Women and Gender Equity’s mission is to create meaningful learning about gender and to advocate for gender justice through the education, engagement, and empowerment of students and the greater GVSU community.

Incident Reporting
Grand Valley State University is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for all students. A variety of methods are available for community members wishing to share a concern or submit a report. These include, but are not limited to, the reporting options on this site.

Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center
The Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center advocates for institutional equity, promotes community-building, and provides educational opportunities to create an informed, cohesive, and just campus where community members of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender presentations are supported and welcome.

Student Ombuds
The Student Ombudsman is dedicated to providing a safe and private environment for students to discuss and process difficulties.

TRIO Programs
The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals with varying needs. TRIO students include those that are first in their families to go to college, have a limited income, or have a disability.

University Counseling Center
Our mission: To enhance the well-being of our diverse GVSU community through mental health services, including prevention, education, and counseling.
