Event Assistant

Description

Small event planning firm based in Grand Rapids looking for a highly organized, independent, and creative event assistant. 

Responsibilities would include the following for national conferences and annual events for multiple clients:

  • Event website edits
  • Create event social media content
  • Manage event registration
  • Contact food and beverage vendors 
  • Assist with conference rooming lists and reservations
  • Assist with speaker communications
  • Research and recommend swag and print vendors
  • Edit and test event mobile apps
  • Create and stuff name badges
  • Other administrative tasks
  • Update budgets with expenses

Remote Position and can work on your own time as long as assigned tasks are done by their deadlines.

Qualifications

  • At least one internship or 1 year experience planning corporate, association, or non-profit events 
  • Professional communication skills
  • Experience with registration platforms
  • Experience with website editing such as in Weebly, Wix, Square Space, etc. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Proficient in Google Drive
  • Marketing experience a bonus
  • Can provide 2+ references
  • Interested in owning a small business one day
  • Access to a reliable computer (will not be provided for you)
