The University Counseling Center (UCC) strives to be acknowledged as an essential resource for enhancing student mental health, well-being, and academic success. The counseling center is going to have many different services available to fit students’ needs.

The UCC offers students ten individual counseling sessions and unlimited group counseling sessions. They also offer identity-and theme-based groups. Workshops are also available for stress management, self-compassion, and managing depression, just to name a few.

Conveniently, the UCC also offers a service where students can talk to an advisor without scheduling an appointment through the Counselor Office Hours. It is more like a casual conversation and receiving advice.  Virtual drop-in times are available daily. It is first-come, first-served and time with a therapist usually lasts about 20-25 minutes.

Togetherall, is another service that the UCC offers virtually where students can speak about their problems 24/7. They can also connect with students that are going through similar issues. On the other end, there are mental health professionals ready to help. This is completely confidential as students use the platform on their phone.

Lastly, the UCC offers QPR suicide prevention training, mental heath screenings, and relaxation resources through the semester. The UCC website also showcases encouraging videos to help students get through their problems and those are also available 24/7.
