Burger King Scholars Program
Description: The Burger King Scholars program assists employees, employees' spouses or domestic partners, employees' children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. To date, the program has awarded more than $25.3 million in scholarships and the program continues to grow. Last year alone $2.7 million in scholarships were awarded.
Integrity, high standards, entrepreneurial spirit, good citizenship and education were the values that defined Burger King co-founder James W. McLamore. It was those values that helped realize a dream and it is those same values that are the core of the Burger King McLamore Foundation, which will continue to build on his legacy and his commitment to education.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
Eligibility: Applicants must-
- Be living in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
- Be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada
- Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
- Plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2016-17 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico
