The login process for University services like Banner and Blackboard will change slightly on May 3. Rather than the "single sign-on" page currently in use, users will log in through a new service called Okta. Information about this new process is available at https://www.gvsu.edu/cybersafety/okta-42.htm
The procedure will be very similar so the transition should be smooth. Two advantages of the change to Okta are
-
Duo multifactor authentication will be required only every 7 days rather than daily for normal on-campus logins, and passwords will expire only every 18 months rather than every six months.
-
A personalized landing page will be available at https://my.gvsu.edu. This page will have one-click links to several widely used GVSU systems, and users can set up their own `frequently used services’ for convenient access.
