Welcome to the Big Lakers program that serves students ages 6 to 12-years-old! We provide before and after school care during the academic year and exciting opportunities during the summer.

ACADEMIC YEAR SERVICE - Big Lakers attend our center before and after school..

• MODIFIED SCHEDULE - When Allendale Public School District has half-days or snow-days, we welcome enrolled Big Lakers to attend the center for the day
• TRANSPORTATION - Allendale Public School Transportation provides reliable and safe transportation between the center and school
• FOOD - Big Lakers are provided breakfast and an after-school snack

SUMMER CAMPS - Big Lakers spend the summer exploring our beautiful campus, Grand Rapids, and much more!

We offer a fun, engaging summer experience for all children! Each week the Big Lakers will have a theme. Themes include; sports, water, science, cooking, and more. Big Lakers go on adventures all over Grand Valley State University's Allendale and Downtown Grand Rapids campuses.

Allendale Activities

• Swim at the Athletic and Recreation Center
• Visit the Mary Idema Pew Library
• Play sports in the Kelly Family Sports Center and outdoor fields and courts
• Tour Lubbers Stadium and meet Laker athletes!
• Sell Lemonade for Alex's Lemonade Stand

Grand Rapids Activities

• Field trips to Meijer, John Ball Zoo, Pizza Hut, GVSU Pew Campus, and more!
• Ride the Rapid Bus - free of charge courtesy of the University
